The Effects of Task-Oriented Training on Sensory Processing in Stroke Patients

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of taskoriented activities on Sensory Processing in stroke patients.

Methods: Twenty stroke patients were divided into two groups: a taskoriented activities group and a traditional occupational therapy group. The intervention sessions were given five times a week for six weeks.
Adolescent/Adult Sensory Profile (AASP) were used to measure the sensory processing before and after TaskOriented training. And the collected data were analyzed by using the program, SPSS (v.21, IBM, USA).

Results: Compared to the control group, two group treated by the taskoriented training showed statistically significant improvements in Low Registration.

Conclusion: This paper shows the taskoriented training showed its effectiveness in developing a sensory processing for stroke patients.
